JURASSIC PARK
"Spared no expense."
Look, we're not going to pretend this is a real portfolio company. We just really, really love this movie. Both brothers have seen it approximately 47 times each.
DANGER: HIGH VOLTAGE FENCE
Unless there's a power outage. Then you're on your own.
"Life, uh, finds a way."
— Dr. Ian Malcolm
THE RAPTORS
The real stars of the show
The velociraptors in the movie are actually based on Deinonychus
Real velociraptors were about the size of a turkey
The raptor sounds were made from tortoises mating
The kitchen scene took 3 weeks to film
Spielberg directed the raptors like they were actors
THE KITCHEN SCENE
Arguably the most terrifying 7 minutes in cinema history. Tim and Lex hiding from two velociraptors in the kitchen. The reflection in the metal. The tapping claw. The breathing on the window.
We still can't eat Jell-O without getting nervous.
WHEN THE T-REX BREAKS OUT
You know the scene. The water rippling in the glass. The footsteps getting closer. The goat leg landing on the car roof. Peak cinema.

In conclusion
We are not ashamed.
Every entrepreneur should have something they're irrationally passionate about. For us, it's a 1993 movie about a theme park gone wrong.
We've applied for Isla Nublar zoning permits. Twice.
"Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
— Dr. Ian Malcolm
